have parties throughout the year in the lounge, most on Saturday
nights.
We'll
have fun, talk sailing, and plan the next sail or party. Take a look at the schedule. Bring
only a positive attitude and a willingness to have fun! You'll meet
plenty of fellow sailors, and you will be welcome whether or not
you are "in theme." These parties are a great place to
exchange sea stories (or whatever), plan the next sail or cruise,
and just relax, so come and join us!

Mardi
Gras first came to the French Quarter of New Orleans back in 1699.
It was celebrated by early explorers on the banks of the Mississippi.
Now it is celebrated by parades, beads and masquerade balls. It
is no longer just a New Orleans or French holiday - it is celebrated
around the country, but mainly (and most strenuously) in the South.
The literal translation of
Mardi Gras is "Fat Tuesday". It is the day before Ash
Wednesday, when the Catholic season of Lent begins. Lent is a
season of penance, sacrifice and introspection. Mardi Gras is
anything but that. It is a time of decadence, over indulgence
and just plain fun!
Bright
colors are everywhere during Mardi Gras, but there are three dominant
or official colors. Purple, Green and Gold. These colors are said
to be representative of justice (royal purple), faith (green)
and power (gold).
If
you can't be in Monte Carlo, why not come on over to the Aventura
Lounge for the annual Casino Night & Martini Bar! Try your luck
at the Black Jack, Craps, Texas Hold'em and Roulette tables! To
ensure Lady Luck is with you, you'll receive your "play money"
at the sign-in table! At the end of the night those who are still
standing will exchange their chips for door prizes. All this excitement
plus an abundance of delicious hors d'oeuvres will be available.
Deadly Martinis and an assortment of drinks will be available throughout
the night at our bar. Please call the office to make reservations

Come
celebrate Aventura’s 15th year of sailing fun with another
Luau Pig Roast. Once again we’ll have live entertainment
and we’ll be dancing to some great tunes. Delicious Luau
fare of Roasted Pig, Grilled Chicken, Coconut Rice, Pineapple
Baked Beans, Tropical Salad, Fruit Display, Rolls, Dessert
& Choice of Water or Soda will be served. This has been
the party of parties in Dana Point Harbor for years. Due
to the high attendance in previous years, (we had over 350
guests at our last Luau!), there will be a cap on the number
of reservations available, so call early! Call Now! Your
dinner will be served in the order in which your reservation
was placed. Tickets in advance purchase are:
Member: $25.00 with 2 drink tickets
Members Guest: $25.
Non-Members: $30.
Kids 7-12: $15.
Ticket Price at door: Member & Non-Member $40.00.
All meal tickets include 1 non-alcholic drink. To encourage

Luck makes a stop at Club Aventura tonight, and you'll want
to be there! Play blackjack, roulette, and craps Las Vegas
style without losing a month's pay. The only money you'll
spend will be your admission price for the evening, which
will include plenty of "play" money for gaming,
and a lavish hot and cold finger food buffet, easily enough
for dinner. So find a hot shooter, blow on the dice, and come
to Aventura!
Halloween

Our
zaniest party! Come in costume, or come in a suit and
tie and tell us you're a presidential candidate (pretty scary)!
Plenty of monster mashing, and prize(s) for the best (or maybe
worst) costumes!
Watch
the Dana Point holiday boat parade from our balcony. And,
of course, A Visit From St. Nicholas! Yes, the jolly
old elf himself will be handing out gifts in the Aventura
lounge. This is a not-to-be-missed part of the harbor holiday
season!
